Tenuta di Arceno
Riserva Chianti Classico Sangiovese Blend
Sour cherries and plums initially. Very dry, quite acidic, and without any developed secondaries. Hoping some air time helps! Edit: Time did help, but merely smoothed out the acid, and ripened the fruit. Hours later it is still a clumsy wine.

Fresh red berries on the nose and cherries, strawberries, red currants, oak, smoke, tar, dark chocolates, spices, licorice, cloves, earth, leather, pencil lead and peppercorn.
Medium bodied with medium plus acidity and long legs.
A bit tart on the attack and dry on the palate, with cherries, plums, blueberries, strawberries, currants, vanilla, cloves, licorice, tobacco, earth, graphite, herbs, spices and black pepper.
Medium plus on the finish with firm, chewy tannins and tart cranberries.
This Chianti Classico is a nice drinking red wine, almost balanced, and at good quality.
I really liked the nose on this one. Needs to be opened for an hour, to get those nice aromas.
Needs another 2 to 3 years in the bottle to mature properly.
Good by itself, but better with food. It Paired nicely with everyone's Italian food.
A blend of 90% Sangiovese and 10% Cabernet Sauvignon. Grapes are hand harvested and wine is aged for 12 months in French oak barrels.
14.5% alcohol by volume.
