This wine has a medium-dark garnet hue and offers a nose of black cherry, anise, vanilla and cedar. On the palate, we find red fruit, a bit of tart cherry and savory notes from the ten months of oak aging. The tannins are a little toothy, but will do a nice job on a steak.

Westtown Fair Wine Pairing Dinner selection. Dark cherry/blackberry aromas with hints of oak and coffee. Prunes, coffee and a hint of orange peel on the pallet. Mouth watering acidity that is well balanced with dusty tannins.

Subtle bodied wine. Cherries and plums with little earth; has a bit of acidic bite at end and then fades. I enjoyed it.
