From near my house- Viognier, grechetto, Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot from off the Appia Antica. Natural stuff, interesting for sure.

Tuscany travel research (however this selection is from Roma). Underwhelming 2012 selection. Mild acidity, some tannins. Lacked complexity expected from this Bordeaux varietal blend.

Wow. Remarkably good. This is an Italian 'traitor' -- Merlot/Cab. I vote for variety neutrality. These Italians worked wonders with French grapes!
