My last note on this wine is relevant here. Like then, this was fresh, pure, and elegant. There was perhaps a touch more volatile acidity in the backend than expected which knocked back my score.

Fresh, elegant, and pure. Just what the doctor ordered to energise the mid-week slump! Unfurls in the glass with aromas of cherry liqueur, mint, dusty florals, and a tincture of meatiness. The palate’s silky and airy, with juicy acidity and fine sandy tannins felt on the gums (more specifically at the base of the teeth). Subtle finish that’s actually quite long, as it lingers with notes of cherry and earthy accents. With air, the mid-to-back palate gained some mineral notes which I wanted more of, but alas the bottle was finished! Such is the danger of a great wine - an empty bottle comes far too soon, without you even realising it.
