Sette Ponti or "seven bridges," refers to the 7 bridges crossing the Arno River on the road from Arezzo to Florence. Blend of 50% merlot, 40% cab sauvignon and 10% petit verdot, aged 18 months in new French oak. Had this last ‘12 sitting in my cellar. Beautiful big pronounced fruit and spice aromas. Cherry and currants with tobacco and oak spice. Smooth and refined tannins, well structures long finish ending with mineral and earthy character. Wow!!

I opened a ‘12 about three years ago and it was completely shut down. Additional time in the bottle has served this well. A completely different wine. Significant power and depth combined with finesse and style. A 50% Merlot/40% Cab/10% PV Super Tuscan, it is absolutely exquisite. Rich crimson fruit and dark chocolate accelerate through the mid palate and linger with a lengthy gripping finish.

Explosive merlot blend from top producer in Toscana. Lovely ripe plum and cherry notes. Dusty tannins and high acidity. Perfect with ribeye steak. Keep for few more years or longer if you can.

Tastes like I expect Italian wine to taste. Earthy, with bright red fruit. Spice, leather and drying tannins.
