A disappointing Nobile with no sense of place. I got the sense they were trying to make a Bordeaux style table wine rather than embracing the soul of Montepulciano (was there Merlot?) Yes it's young but there were no earth tones to speak of that are typical of Nobili even at this age. This was fruit forward with black raspberries and some currants. A bit of violets on the nose. It was only $19 but I've had $5 table wines from cartons in Italian supermarkets that were far more enjoyable.
