Tannins have really softened up. Fruit is very ripe - blackberry, red cherry. Raisin, fig, plum. Seems to me to be meeting its end of drinking window. Still quite delicious.

Aug 27th, 2024My first bottle of the ‘18s. Should’ve heeded my review of the 17s, a decant is definitely required at this point. With some air time, the red and black fruit really come forth, truffle, earthy, dusty, floral. Very nice light mouthfeel yet with a medium plus finish. I’ll be letting my other bottles age a bit, if I can, or at least remember to decant at least 45 min.
