Violets, blackberry, iron, blood, med body, med + acid, completely resolved tannin, lots of sediment. Silky yet powerful. My first Allemand, will not be my last.

An assortment of sweet and mushroomy tertiary aromas frame a still-vibrant core of black fruit. Structure so perfect it disappears save for nervoux acidity. I love this style and I love this wine.

This was my favorite wine of the night (a Syrah dinner!). It showed such harmony in both flavor and texture--it was both powerful and pretty, dense but light on its feet. Coffee, vanilla, blackberry, leather, and meat. A great complex northern rhone. Really incredible how much fruit there is for the age, but that's not to discount the beautiful, developed savoriness.
