All the attributes of great modern Chardonnay. Leesy, smoky, struck match aromas. A light to medium weight citrussy palate of medium plus intensity and persistence Mild acid but sufficient to take the life of this wine into the late 2020s. HH said 100% malolactic fermentation doesn’t show and rated this as #1 of 40 Tasmanian Chardonnays from 2015. Not as creamy as one would expect. A class act in any company. Had another bottle 30 weeks later on 23rd April 2022 with similar struck match modern Chardonnay notes although the citrussy palate is now more like light stone fruit like white peach. Still very pale lemon in colour. Still the same high score of 96 points.

Mealy worked Leesy notes. Quite intense on nose and palate. Complex flavours for such a young age. Medium acid but great length. A very well made Chardonnay from a special site in Coal River Tasmania with Oak and Fruit in balance. Well done - a Gold Medal!

Well made. My first venture into Tasmania wine. It was fleshier than I was expecting from a cool climate. Kind of peachy with some baking spices. Tried it over two days.
