Front-loaded, silky Valpolicella Ripasso that is everything it is said to be.

Seek this one out, it’s a great wine at a great price (92 at $23). Has the bright sour cherry riding high above the deeper raisin and cassis notes. Worth decanting.

The does not taste like a ripasso. If this was grown to the north and it was Austrian I wouldn’t notice the difference.

Delicious with pasta. Got a bottle at tasting room in Valpolicella.

Fabulous, warm bouquet, robust, oaky and peppery mid taste and long smoky finish. Well paired with strong Italian flavours.
