Torre Castillo
Alegre Jumilla Monastrell
2013. Under $10, it is hard to find a better value red. Interesting nose of freshly dug soil, minerals, yeasty bread, and blackberry extract. Intense and full, but relatively soft texturally. Got that barky Mourvedre thing, with some nice fruit and clingy dark minerals. I'd rather drink this than a Pibarnon that's less than 20 years old. Nice job.

Apr 2nd, 2015Ok - nice and dry - not a great deal of flavor. Good value for the price.

Sep 29th, 2016Medium heavy body. Aroma of charcoal, chard, honey, and rhubarb. Flavors of lime, soil, raisin, and burnt meat. Quite bitter with lots of tannins, and super dry.
