Good texture. Not too dry. Don’t usually drink Zinfandels but would go back to this one. Little bit lighter, which is what I like in a red wine. Growers Reserve prides themselves on simplicity which is great in buying a cheap wine. Don’t get cute is what I like to say. The cherry might be a little overbearing in this wine, but all in all it does the job.

Very jammy, a little peppery but not terribly complex. A pleasant, fruit-forward wine that makes a great weeknight red. Not usually in the mood for sweet wine, but I enjoyed this tonight with cauliflower gnocchi and marinara sauce (also from Trader Joe’s).
