Trader Joe's
Platinum Reserve Yountville Cabernet Sauvignon
As others have pointed out, this is way too jammy, definitely not balanced

Tasted blind...always good to have a bottle like this to keep people on their toes π.
Clove, menthol and a wintergreen note on the nose. Seems like a ringer for Aussie Shiraz. Soft. Sweet pipe tobacco & baked pie finish. A lot of sweetness here accompanied by a lot of oak. There is basically zero tannic structure on this. Thanks for pulling this out of your cellar @Benjamin Keator π

Jammy and fruity. Some oak and mocha notes. No tannins to speak of. Easy to drink but not complex

Mar 10th, 2020Juicy cab. Meant to have with a meal. The bottle is heavy so itβs meant to be aged.

Jan 1st, 2019From Cardinale. Been awaiting this for months. I strongly disagree with my brethren on this but I came away disappointed. I found a heavy use of oak to be overly intrusive, with fruit coming off too sweet and jammy, almost syrupy.

Dec 31st, 2018Full body, smooth finish. Slightly smoky and berry-filled taste. Solid choice for $20

Dec 28th, 2018Worth every penny. Juicy and fruity. Not too sweet. Very balanced. One of my favorites.

Dec 17th, 2018A bit young, but at $18 this is a steal. This drinks like a $40 bottle. If I had to guess I would say this is a Goosecross or Stephanie cab. Lay it down for a year at least. This drinks well between 2019 and 2021.
