Pleasantly surprised, probably attributable to the age and the fact it was a magnum. Silky smooth with nice cherry fruit. Not overly deep or refined, but also didn’t have any OH bite, which I was expecting. Happy Thanksgiving!!

1.5l. Blueberry cigarillo on nose. Dried cherry, fresh cranberry, could go 30 more years.

2006. Today we received the nicest surprise "Happy 5th Anniversary as Halo Club members " gift from Trefethen. This is the longest continuous club we've ever belonged to. Strong black cherry on the nose and palate. I don't regret this club decision one bit. Cheers to the next 5 years!

Truly fantastic Napa cabernet. Tight at first but opens fairly quickly. Big aromas of black cherry with subtitle hints of cloves and cinnamon. Juicy and full bodied on the palate with very elegant tannins. Flavors of ripe plum balanced by a hint if black pepper and a nice earthiness. Long, rich beautiful and gripping finish that lingers and lingers.
