This is a very elegant Chardonnay from Oak Knoll District in Napa Valley. Very tasty and easy drinking, without the oaky Chardonnay feel.

Nicely balanced and complex, but doesn't show like a Napa Chardonnay.

Wine Enthusiasts 91 points.

Still young and needs a few years in the bottle to mature properly. Will continue to age nicely in the next 7 years.

I had the 2023 vintage not too long ago, and this vintage is drinking better.

Good by itself as a sipping wine or with food.

100% Chardonnay grapes were aged in (9% new) French Oak barrels for 9 months.

This is the 2022 Block 296 version of this vintage. Truly excellent. Sour cherries and oregano on the nose. Spicy! Sour cherries on the front. Medium to heavy tannic structure. Tangy on the mid palate. Long finish. Not your typical overpowering Napa Cab. — 7 months ago

Wow! First to review. Notice the bottle of Halo by trefethen to the right? Opened this after sharing that other bottle. Bought this before think Kirkland wines are usually interesting and delicious and limited. Especially the reds. This $10 Kirkland napa blend is a steal. I bet in a blind taste people wouldn’t guess it was $10. I wish I bought more. I predict next time I go to Costco which I is next week it will not be available. — 4 years ago

This is a delicious Riesling from Oak Knoll District in Napa Valley.

Rich and fruit forward, elegant and nicely balanced. Feels like a Mosel Riesling. Fresh, crisp and easy drinking.

Already drinking beautifully, and will continue to age nicely in the next 10 years.

Good by itself as a sipping wine or with food.

100% Riesling grapes.

Long and slow legs with a iridescent maroon color. Huge bouquet on the nose with a tiny hint of cardamom. I will admit that I was cutting garlic so the florals might have been more dramatic ha! Burst of juiciness upfront that tapers into a tea-like body with the perfect amount of dryness on the finish. Prominent tasting notes I get are strawberry and wildflower honey. Honey stays on the finish with a mild heat that dissipates pretty quickly. One of the better Pinots I’ve had in quite some time! — 4 years ago

Deepest of Ruby color. Amazing nose with a hint of cinnamon. I’m a big fan of Malbec but the petit Verdot really balances this wine out. Great legs and deep color make a visually appealing drink. Tons of fruit and mild tannins to balance the fruit out. Drinking this wine on Christmas Eve and I feel a little guilty like I opened a present early. Trefethen never disappoints. — 2 years ago
