Réserve Alsace Pinot Noir

2018 vintage. Very dark-fruited and Burgundian. Firm, yet fine-grained tannins. Black plum skin, cranberry, black tea, tangerine peel, rose petal, tree bark, autumn leaves, fresh blackberry. Really quite good at the proper temperature. I had it over-chilled initially and found it rather thin. Comparable to a village or 1er Cru level Nuits-Saint-Georges or the like.

Vintage 2016 / good balance, light footed

So love this producer..wasn’t a huge fan of this pinot noir..fairly simple red tart/fresh cherries...orange peel...med acid...not great not terrible...

Thought this was pretty smart. Aromatic with a touch of root vegetables, cherry, raspberry, strawberry, orange peel, damp roses and Chinese five spice. Brisk acidity and fine chalky tannins giving some grip.

Aromas and flavors of cranberry, red cherry and raspberry. Hints of violets, rose petals, flint and earth fill out this very complex Pinot Noir. Light garnet color. Nice body and balance. Good stuff.
