Aug 10th, 2016This is Cabernet Sauvignon? Really? A red fruit nose with hints of cotton candy, soft red plum fruit. I'm not sure I would guess if this is Cab if tasting blind.

Apr 3rd, 2014I've been drinking Chinon lately. Started w some Cali cab franc, went to Chinon, now back to Cali. This is by far the most ripe, oaked cab franc that I've had. It's not bad. It is what it is. There's some nice smooth tannin. There's some (overwhelmed) earth on the nose, not much transitions to the mouth.
It's just BIG. 14.9% ABV seems pretty ripe. With the 70% new French oak & ripeness for me, it's too sweet. Candy wine, but not dessert wine.
