Kickoff to the extended weekend! This is MUCH more interesting than the non-SVD Trujillo I had several months ago. Yet still young. This has youthful blackberries, cocoa, cinnamon spice on the nose. Full bodied wine. Palate dominated by blackberry in the front. Cocoa powder and some cola notes to the middle. Finishes with a lot of sweet, chalky, toasted tannin. Youthful blackberry and blueberry on the finish. Will definitely improve with time in bottle. A very youthful wine, and overall I probably should have let it sit another five years. Solid 94 now and will definitely improve with age.
