Exceptional wine - elegant Rutherford intensity with Trujillo finesse. Black cherry, cassis, black plum, violet, bramble, hints of vanilla and cedar, it’s just starting to show cigar box, tobacco, and forest floor. The wine is dense but elegant with considerable finesse. The fruit is still forward but beginning to show tertiary character. Silky tannins and acidity balanced with the fruit. Beautiful now with at least ten more years ahead of it. Awesome wine. — 9 months ago

1 hour decant (some slightly chunky sediment). A beguiling inky ruby red color with some browning. On the nose: red plum, floral, wet forest floor, some blueberry, and a little creme brulee. Taste: red fruit with a touch of blue fruit mixed in, earthy, cedar, and a red licorice mid palate. A soft approachable wine with fine, sweet tannins coating the mouth ending in a cherry espresso medium finish.

Balanced on the palate - but not so smooth into the finish. Drinking well - and perhaps the finish will improve with some more time in the bottle — a year ago

Damn michal Trujillo you are killing it! Dark dark dark. Lots of liquor on the nose with cassis, blackberry, incense and pencil shavings. A big wine but so soft and so plush it hurts. Not for every day but with a New York steak tonight it’s on fire — 7 years ago
