Oct 4th, 2020Excellent Negroamaro, perfect with pizza. The palette begins sweet and fruity, but finishes with a smoky flavor.

Slightly smokey, rounded tannins, a little chalk, roasted red bell pepper, prune, vanilla. A little alcohol forward at 14.5%. Great with orecchiette con broccoli for an all-Pugliese meal. From Flatiron Wines. 12/12/20

Starts out a bit Smokey- wonderful on the nose...then evens out more into a dry, fruity, complex flavor. Not just good with red meat - also works well with well-seasoned poultry. A negroamaro that can be enjoyed even in the summertime!
