This was powerful. As it opened the huge fruit dropped off and it showed layers. For a while it had almost a black and blue fruit syrup finish. Wonderful texture.

My constant pursuit of the perfect Zinfandel turned up this beautiful example from Helen Turley. A perfect balance of fruit (tart and dark), alcohol (high), sweet tannin and finish. Definitely belongs in my top ten!
