Aged Turley Zin *never* disappoints — 3 months ago
The ‘05 Hayne Petite Syrah is still vibrant nearly 20 years on. Inky, dark chocolate in color with graphite, Kirsch, earth and a hint of evergreen on the nose. Smooth and mouth-filling, loaded with dark fruit, even a touch of cocoa. Super long finish on red fruit tanginess. Probably still has years left if you can get your hands on any. — 3 months ago

2022.one of my favorite Turley’s! — a month ago
Decanted about an hour prior to service; enjoyed over the course of a couple hours. The 2006 Rattlesnake Ridge pours a deep ruby/purple with an opaque core and some rim variation. Medium+ viscosity with significant staining of the tears and signs of sediment. On the nose, the wine is developing with notes of tart, ripe, and some desiccated, mostly black fruits. Black cherry, wild black brambles, black plums and some pruning, figs, black pepper, smoked meat, leather and hoisin. On the palate, the wine is dry with medium+ tannin and medium+ acid. Confirming the notes from the nose although the profile is fresher. The finish is long and reminded me of purple Sweet Tarts with crazy minerals. Balanced. This is showing so well right now and has a long life yet ahead. Drink now with a long decant and enjoy through 2036 easy. — 2 months ago
I thought I had a bad bottle initially but it just needed to breathe for about an hour. I probably should have waited a couple more years to open — 3 months ago
