So not including possible seepage, this wine was open for three days and completely changed! Nose was loaded with a ton of flowers from honeysuckle to violets or lavender. The flowers over powered everything else in the nose. It was a lovely nose. Very enjoyable, did not seem 100% syrah at all but delicious. We will need to grab a few more!

Decanted for around 30 minutes to let it warm up, this was a coravin. Dark and opaque crimson red. Love the nose on this. It continued to change, started with cinnamon and baking spices. Then went to blueberries, violets and forest foliage. Finished of the nose with charred meat after about an hour in the glass. Palate was smooth with notes of herbs and olives. Low tannins (4.5/10) with a light body. Slight acidic and crisp finish that lingers for a while. Can tell it has had limited oak exposure. Very relaxing and easy to drink. A great cool climate syrah! Excited to crack this open next weekend.

Very light N. Rhone style with aromas of violets and wet forest floor. Neutral oak aging produces astringent and austere flavors of tart unripe cherries, persimmon and Kalamata olives. Am I drinking the same wine everyone else is raving about? Although it shows promise and plenty of acidity, I think it needs several years of bottle age to fully develop

Iron, smooth blackberries, and a hint of floral on the nose. Velvety tannins carry the aromas through to the palate. The medium length finish calls for another pleasantly acidic draw. I think a northern St. Joseph comes to mind, but with balanced California fruit.

Lighter Syrah for sure, mild Balsamic aroma without the vinegar, and a nice structured backbone. Really great paring with Eggplant Parmesan although I will say I wish I held on to this a while longer, still got a long life ahead of it. It's nice to see the quality fruit from Catie's Corner being exhibited by a quality producer. Keep it up @WilliamAllen

Oaky on the nose, but muted oak. Earthy - mushrooms, violets, potting soil on the nose. Pleasant, but dark. On the palate, still muted. Grilled pork tenderloin, underripe blackberry, kefir lime. A little bitter but balanced; not traditional California Syrah. Interesting!
