Amontillado was long my favorite Sherry style. Palo Cortado is where it's at for me these days. One of the best here and truly sings after a week. Polished off remains with salt roasted almonds, elixir of Zibibbo from Pantellaria and Fiore Sicano cheese.

Elegant as all get out. I can’t get over Palo Cortado, even with its shady requirement to be called “Palo Cortado”—pretty sure some are no more accidental “failed Finos” than chocolate chip cookies were a ‘whoops I dropped chocolate in the dough’—but that matters not. Mixed nuts and lemon and amaretto don’t sound like things I’d want to consume all at once but they are elements of this wine I love all at once.

A higher tone & leaner palo cortado than Im used to.Still though has a youthful zesty energy & crazy cheap for this quality & type.

Love valdespino, and this has got to be one of my favorite bottling from them. vibrant yet walnuts, bitter chocolate and coffee also show through. Lean and smooth, absolutely fantastic!

Almost literally timeless. Richly flavored, not too heavy, beautifully integrated. Almonds, chewiness, a bit of breakfast (coffee and orange). Superb.
