Rustic heady castello softened with vanilla and enveloped dark fruit.in the nose. Paired with an acidic eggplant lasagna for instance, the contrast rushes toward the deeper tones of the wine. Nuance and complexity revealed in layers. It sings.

Wow this wine loves to open up. Next time we will decant. Initial sharp edge if you don't wait to open up but silky finish prevails throughout. Vanilla and oak atop red fruit resolve to beautiful rounded expression of Montalcino rosso. Warm, rich, evocative, deeply satisfying expression of place.

Red fruits; raspberries and cherries. Notes of oak and vanilla. Medium body, medium plus acid. Amazing bargain.

Hellokiel

If I was an Italian wine maker, I'd drink this all day long. Even if I wasn't I'd still drink this all day long.
