La Grande Dame Brut Champagne Blend

Marine and iodene on the nose. The palate is richer- toasty notes, some warmth. Great acidity and fizz still. Not as complex s some but pretty good stuff

Good but not great

Really drinking beautifully. Nice soft mousse, rich creme brûlée palate with a nice cleansing acidity. Excellent with baked oysters. Sweet spot now, but will be delicious for another 10+ years,

Oxidized. Caramel in colour. Maintained some fizz.

Acceptable levels of VA and maderization made this rich wine surprisingly compelling and complex.

So good we came back for seconds

Nicely mature hints of butterscotch to go with the brioche and bright streak of acidity on the finish...plenty of life left.

A little treasure found with pure luck ☺️

Incredible bottle! Picked it up in a Long Beach liquor store, after 13 years in the cold box.
