Sciala Vermentino di Gallura Superiore

Fruitier than I expected! I really enjoyed it. I feel like this is a good fall / winter white.

This wine has a floral nose, but that does not shortchange the minerality. There is a good bit of lemon and salinity in the mix, too. The palate shows the citrus and minerals strongest, with a very nice bit of acidity. Extremely nice, actually. I should have had some seafood with it, but it was cream of mushroom soup day, with some rice on the side. It paired quite well.

Ripe fruit, peach and pear compote with a touch of dried pineapple, good minerality and acid.

2013: starts creamy & rich yet finishes w crushed bluestone ~ apples, pears, peach & apricot

Really good. Crisp, but rich too. Almost like it has some botrytis or passito in it.

Crisp and refreshing

Dry white from northern Sardinia. Easy to drink, good with fish and salad.

This was my favorite white wine of the 3 tasted from Italy (with wine tasting group). Nice aromatic noise, stone fruits plus nice creamy balanced body. I would buy a bottle of this and happily drink it!

A little hot so be sure to serve it cold. Good summertime picnic wine. Refreshing, with lovely nose of unripe apples, hay, lime zest and springtime flowers. Don't we all need a little more Vermentino in our lives?
