Vigneti del Vulture
Piano del Cerro Aglianico del Vulture
I’ve never even heard of this varietal to be honest, but was blown away. This is a huge wine. Incredibly rich with red fruit, soft tannins, never would have guessed this was anything other than new world. So incredibly balanced. I love wine pairings as they introduce me to wines I would never buy on my own. And this was incredible.

Apr 1st, 2018When in Germany, you drink a lot of lager low alcohol beers but stick to what you know when it comes to wine. The Germans have like 15 types of red wine but in the end it seems you’re always stuck with a bland Pinot noir.

Apr 21st, 2019Fabulous rich red. Full bodied and smooth, but not too spicy.

Jan 24th, 2018Smooth and still powerful. Black cherry on the finish. Really delicious. Aged for 24 months in brand new barriques in a natural cave at the base of the Vulture volcano. Well paired with beef-based lasagna
