I do like Portuguese wine and this one is such a steal from Aldi at just £4.99. No wine that price is going to be world-class but it's still a great easy drinker for a Friday evening.
Made up of three grape varieties: Tinta Roriz, Touriga Nacional and Touriga Franca it gives a hint of spice and cherries on the nose. Taste is some tannin with a good plum and blackberry body. Left to breathe for a couple of hours it ended up being quite smooth. All in all a little diamond for under a fiver.
