Vini Conestabile della Staffa
Cantina Conestabile Magione Case Parse Umbria Bianco Grechetto
Golden yellow with a glow. Notes of mealy apple and canned peach and pear. A little grip from a day on skin.

1 person found it helpfulApr 29th, 2020Pale gold, and a bit hazy. Yellow pears, roasted chestnuts, and fennel fronds on the nose. Light, juicy, the anise side of the fennel shows up on the palate, but it's not overbearing, as well as Korean pears, and some dried sage.

Feb 13th, 2021Harmonious deft combined with a graceful grapefruit deliverance + a persistent citron note that leave it to be described as a vinous vernacular!

Oct 26th, 2020Tastes like Brett. I like Brett, but for others would likely be off putting. Reminds me of some sour beers I like. Drinks and pairs about the same. Some more traditional notes (straw, yellow fruit, apple) comes through when drinking with food.

Oct 7th, 2020SIGHT: A thick golden yellow with some sediment. SMELL: Dat barn lifeeeee! Yeasty, like the dying sourdough starter I tried to make. TASTE: Pithy, bitter, baby powder; star fruit. Citrus rinds. Salinity. Dusty hazy sun rays hitting an old wood floor built circa 1500s. After breathing for a bit it tastes juicier and less bitter. Silky. Tender. And haaaaaai some farm floor flavoring. (Love) Light medium body. Delicious acidity.
