Reduced and took three days to clear up. When it did, there was Sangiovese brown sugar combined with that Amador red soil aroma and substantial tannin. Red fruits somehow lacking brightness and just tending toward sweet. This being a '12 and 14.1%/5.8 TA, I wonder if the crop was heavy, or it just should've been picked earlier?

Very tasty. Can we agree that this is very expressive of the varietal and the terroir of the foothills? Tart, and tannic. Nice stuff.
