Donnaluna Aglianico

Not a big structure but an extremely drinkable wine with plenty of fruit and pleasing earth.

Fruit on nose but lots of leather and tobacco on the palate. Needs food but sufficient beforehand

Blackberry, spice: nutmeg, cocoa. Underbrush/bramble. Med+ acid, med+ tannins. Supple and not standoffish at all.

Delicious, dusty, dark cherry. A rare Aglianco drinking well young. 2011.

Tremendously gulpable Aglianico...not something you can say about most wines from this massively grape. Ash, minerals, popping-ripe black currants, cracking acidity, reasonably firm tannins.

There's a real California-Italy analogue here.

2011 - dark inky black, brooding aromatics, iron, dark texture plush fruit, full wine

Dry but still sweet. Dark cherry with notes of other bright fruit notes. Don’t be fooled, this is one kickass wine.

Very neat leathery new car, sorrel smell, body has a juicy but then bite, some good jam, end a bit grassy muddy, cranberry grape, cinnamon
