The great 2020 of one of my favorite sites of Stefan’s. Wafting with gorgeous minerals. Gorgeous citrus. Blood orange, pink grapefruit, white flowers, crab apple, so tender and floral. Outrageous. Palate is rich yet energetic and lean. This needs time in the glass but it’s long, like really long, precise and linear. But needs maybe an hour. I’ll be back. Enormous depth and power here. Yet sleek and lean. Wonderful. Nose with air is glorious and complex with wet Mosel slate/forest floor/spices. So good. Fleshing out a bit and loosening up. 9.5 to 9.6 as fruit becomes more expressive and sapid.

Mar 19th, 2023Super airy, salty and slatey on the nose. Penetrating minerality up your nostril. Some peach and apricot. Light peach but precise and focused. Round nose and with exceptional breadth. The minerality is profound and the nose is like a perfume. Wow, so elegant and round with lovely backend acidity and minerality. Elegant beyond the 19 and huge, lingering finish of citrus and candied lemons. Icing on a cake texture and stunning elegance and playfulness on the finish. This wants to play with your palate and it does. Amazing balance and just so good. Too easy to drink. The fruit expressions are not super ripe. Early cantaloupe and green melon. What a stunning texture.

Palate is clean mineral. Sweet green apple.
Tasty now but this will be amazing in 15 years.
