Fruity with a touch of whole cluster notes and a lot of heavy toasted new oak. Good wine for its age but was lacking in the acid department.

After lying down in my cellar for 10 years it took a bit of coaxing in the decanter to open up. The whole inside of the bottle had a light dusting of sediment (that’s still there in the empty bottle) and quite a large amount left after the decant First take was there was still a bit of wood in the nose which blew off in 30 minutes. The rest of the experience was pretty good
