The fruit in 02 Yorkville Highlands from the Weir Vineyard is some of the best fruit I've tasted in their catalog of William Selyem Pinot's or for California's style of Pinot. Nearly perfectly ripe mid fruits with perfect ripe raspberries dominating the palate. The wine is balanced and perfectly integrated. This Selyem is in top form right now.

Different from other WS vineyards, in which cherries seem to dominate. This wine had well-balance berries, strong tannins and a hint of anise. Delicious, soup to nuts!
