A big nose of crushed, ripe bing cherries, stewed strawberries, and rhubarb pie. More cherry on the palate along with strawberry shortcake, cedar, cinnamon, cardamom, oak, menthol, and the Monterey Bay minerals and pepper. Despite being high alcohol, this pinot is smooth from start to finish with medium tannins and high acid. Powerful, an excellent match with grilled salmon, but I think it would hold up to a lightly seasoned steak.

Nose of baked cherry. Smooth as silk on the palate with a fine acid finish.

Excellent expression. Cherry and cedar on the nose. On the palate, beautifully balanced fruit sails along with verve and class. The silky, lightweight mouthfeel makes you want to reach for the glass time and again - which can be dangerous.

Solid. Vineyard is owned by a family friend and fruit usually goes to his own wines.
