Dark Ruby with aromas of ripe berry fruits, herbs and earthy oak spice. On the palate black cherry, raspberry and black currant flavors with espresso, cacao and earthy notes. Well balanced, lively acidity, fine ripe tannins long ending with fruit, oak and tobacco spice! Nice!

I’m not ashamed to say that I didn’t guess the varietal correct when served to me blind.
Extremely fruity for me it more resembles Merlot or even a understated Syrah.

Medium to dark purple with blackberries, black raspberries, potpourri, vanilla, and slight hint of pencil shavings on the nose. Very fruit forward. Medium to full bodied. This wine is true. The scents on the nose are confirmed on the palate. A touch of sweetness there, it has a lingering finish that has you pouring another glass. Had this wine with steak selection sampler at Stake on Coronado Island. Excellent pairing. Had to purchase some for the cellar and popped this while cooking for Thanksgiving.

Ahhhhh Thank you God. ZD cab! 2015. Chocolate figs and oaky spice. I love this wine so so much. Now I want to go sing some Elton John, after another glass of course.
