Despite being five years old this drinks very young and fresh. Floral, silky texture, medium acidity and Rick without being heavy. Good acidity- a wonderful wine for food

Sep 5th, 2018Lucious, rich without a hint of jasmine so, polished tannins and ripe black fruit. Lively example of the ripasso style. Elegant and poised

Apr 17th, 2018Deep ruby in color with a purplish rim.
Fruity nose of blueberries, cherries, licorice, oak, vanilla, wildflowers, cloves, herbs, spices, dark coffee, pencil lead, earth, vegetables and black pepper.
Medium plus in body and smooth, with medium acidity and long legs.
Dry on the palate with plums, cherries, sweet strawberries, raspberries, vanilla, licorice, oak, bitter herbs, vegetables, pencil lead, earth and black pepper.
Medium plus in finish with round tannins and tangy cranberries.
This is a great Ripasso from Veneto, Italy. Well balanced and enjoyable by itself or with food. Showing nice complexity and a great, smooth mouthfeel.
A good sipping wine and better after 30 minutes of airtime. A very solid option for an Italian meal.
I paired it with a charcuterie board of meats, cheeses and interesting pickled vegetables.
14% alcohol by volume.
88 points.

Beautiful deep purple color with a nice, translucent red edge at the glass.
Nose has plum, cedar, violets, cedar, moist earth and fresh black pepper.
Palate has plum, black cherry, bitter dark chocolate, over-ripe strawberry and faint oak.
This wine is very plumy, and just delicious. 2021-23+ for future bottles, likely in a very nice place in 8-10 years past vintage. QPR delivered at our purchase price of $24!
