Inaugural release. You can tell serious effort was put into the wine. Aromatics were subtle upon opening. Nice floral, cigar box, blue/purple fruit. Palate has elegant texture. Seamless with decent acidity. Good blue/purple/black fruits. Finish is a bit short. As it opened it became very hot, throwing off the balance. — 8 years ago
Stunning. Great Fruit. Nice minerality. Rich yet balanced toast. Beautiful Acid. Outstanding wine from a great grower champagne. I will buy it anytime I find it! — 8 years ago
Elegant Texture with Chablis Acid.
Everything you want and more. Going to be an even more amazing wine in a few years. Simply Stunning. — 8 years ago
Solid complex aromatics. Good texture and mouthfeel. Plenty going on in the palate. Personal issue is that there's plenty of prune overripe flavors which dominates what could clearly be a great wine. — 8 years ago
Major sulfur. Sad because there is a glimpse of the wine, which while lighter than expected for the AOC, is completely overshadowed by sulfur. — 8 years ago
Slight Sulfur, which blew off. Ripe fruit. Soft acid. Decent mineralogy. Sounds ridiculous but more like a Meursault than Grand Cru Chablis. — 8 years ago
One of the best '97 made. Still plenty of acid and red fruit.
All the secondary and tertiary flavors you want from a 20 year old wine.
Even cooler is the price of this wine then and now, absolute steal! — 8 years ago
Impressive Rich Red/Blue fruit and lots of it. Solid mid-palate complexity with great overall texture. Long mouthfeel. It's a full bodied Pinot, but varietal and regionally correct. Still plenty of acidity. A really enjoyable Sta. Rita Pinot Noir, that is going to go the distance. — 8 years ago
Another solid wine. Possibly stored too cold for too long. But still had a beautiful mousse. Nice toast. Great acid. — 8 years ago

22 years old and still got plenty in the tank! Nice combo of apples, brioche toast and cedar. Good acid lift. Definitely a personal favorite. — 7 years ago
