Barn floor/dry hay with some fig funk. Decanted for an hour plus. Dusty worn leather and black cherries, blackberry. Subtle withdrawn nose. Smooth, yet softly dry, with more dark dirt, dark berry almost tingly on my tongue. Really enjoying this Bandol 2011 — 9 years ago
Pleasant nose of dried cherries, touch of barny straw, wet riverbank clay, subtle faint strawberry. Palette is dried cherries and hints of cranberry mixed with flint on the finish. Just earthy Burgundy! — 8 years ago
Subtle notes of warm blueberry and blackberry. Smooth on my palette. Hints of baking spice and anise. Great food wine. Lamb. Flank steak. Lobster ravioli. — 9 years ago
Chalk and/or wet earth on nose with light red currant and a hint of raspberry. Smooth. — 9 years ago
Soft hints of smooth flint minerality. Currants of darkness wrapped in dark boysenberry and a touch of blue. Darker. — 8 years ago

From the incredible Clos Pepe vineyard! Santa Rita Hills, Santa Barbara County. Meat on the nose. Oh yeah! Hibiscus Tea. Touch of orange peel. Black plum. Blackberry. Fig. Long finish. Chalky, but not too much. Fresh. Not your everyday Pinot Noir! — 8 years ago
