Addressed with a Sage pesto bucatini. Sunday lunch at boxwood with David Denisch and Jeem. Good acid to cut through the pesto. Low alcohol at 11.5% which was pleasant. Breeze came up and made for a most pleasant afternoon. Life is good, grab it! Sicily unleashed in a glass.

I like these northeastern whites as they are an alternative to dropping the change for the Pepe's or Valentini's of Abruzzo. Whites that are serious. This was a nice compliment to seared cod served with a deconstructed gazpacho. Boozy on the nose like some whites. Was a bit reduced, but after the first half hour it blew off. Really nice mouthfeel, which you don't always get with whites. I could really use more of this. Gotta try a Miani though. See you soon.....

Served with grilled chicken and potato corn hash. Color looks like it could be boozy, but thankfully not. Nice soft acid. Dry Citrus on the nose which could be the basis for a new Aqua Di Parma scent. Aqua Di Radda perhaps? I don't know but keep it coming guys. Nice wine for a tolerable August evening. Catch you on the flip flop — 7 years ago
2013 vintage served with grilled hangar steak, charred fingerlings with red onion and purple pepper and tomato salad with oregano mint and chèvre. Exquisite nose of leather book cover, light of rome. Good acid yielding to pleasant tannin. You know when you have it and this has it . Lovely and got 2 more in the crawl space with three of the 14s. Light waning, time to relax. Godspeed troops. — 7 years ago
First impression really dry. Tastes like a dry stone. May not have been the right choice for shrimp and rice but would have thought so. Pretty wine on the nose Seemed to react much better to the blueberries and strawberries we had for dessert. Sourced from Garagiste so it was reasonably priced. I say go for it, you only live once!

Had to source from Biodivino in San Fran and had shipped to the east coast. Nose is much like the air Chianti. Like the Baron, this wine has absolutely no rough edges. Pretty, almost Pinot like. Had with bucatini with black pepper and lardons. This would feel equally at home with fish. Really impressed. Next time we are in Radda we are tracking this guy down — 8 years ago

2013 Valentini for dinner at al Covo inVenezia. What can be said other than this followed up a bottle of Emidio Pepe at I Artisti we had at lunch. Quite a day of trebs. I know you are out there thinking well why the hell are you drinking this abruzzo stuff up north. Believe me this stuff shines with the cuisine here. Be prepared for more. — 7 years ago
