A bold pinot with a soft touch. The first sips are zippy. Big cherry with some licorice swirl, covering your mouth gently but with presence. An oaky smoke lingers just a bit on the back of the roof of your mouth while the tart cherry fades to black. It was wonderful to come back to this wine. — 6 years ago
Funk, skin contact, and all the best buzz words, but this one didn’t disappoint. A body that lingers, the texture is smoother than expected. Polished. The Riesling notes come out almost creamy but there’s a crisp bite with nice acidity - grapefruit and a touch of agave. This drinks like a crisp night spent outside with sunsets, night sounds, and a promise of something to look forward to. — 7 years ago
Full body and full tannins meet the earthy murky sweetness of a great natural wine. All of the mouthfeels coupled with broody intellectual flavors—smoky tobacco and freshly polished leather shoes. But that acidy brightness makes me feel like I could drink the entire bottle. Fantastic appritivo to your favorite pizza and a very gorgeous wine — 5 years ago
An unfiltered, softly unapologetic chenin blanc. It’s bright and fun with a pear or apple finish that melts in your mouth. Mineral in the middle, with some wet stones or marble, it has an excellent mouth feel and the texture lingers more than the taste. Stands up to a creamier pasta or anything with a French sofrito base. — 6 years ago
A fascinating wine that really changes as she warms. It’s like drinking a sunset. Straight out of the chilled bottle the color is amazingly gorgeous and a tropical sweetness packs a punch. Felt like jasmine banana with an ocean finish. Within a half hour it was open and revealing the earthy goodness to balance those bold floral tones. The finish is deeply herbal, pulling at the sides of your mouth and reminding you to smile. A wine to experience—be present for every sip. — 6 years ago
A little bit of baked pastry or pie crust with smoky undertones beautifully paired with raspberry. It almost drinks like gin...maybe that’s juniper or something similar.
It sits on your tongue like a soft cushion and wraps you tight. It’s a fire pit on a summer night or a walk by a lake when the sun comes out after it rains. There is funk and must, but it provided structure and escape for the juice and was good for me. — 6 years ago

This 2015 vintage is deeper, brooding, and beautiful. Dark fruit and tobacco with earthy herbs on the nose—mint, cilantro, and dirt—almost like an amaro. — 4 years ago
