Unexpectedly good—perfumy, sweet herbs, lots of dark fruit—plums, cassis. Still young on the palate with tons of tannin. — 7 years ago
Slate that blows off into tropical fruits, predominantly pineapple, hint of apricot. Pleasant sweetness rounded out by acidity, which comes late but is enough for balance — 7 years ago
Smoked driftwood, seaweed, smoked meats, lemon rind. Great salinity and acidity upon opening up. Good finish. Intriguing. — 3 years ago

Blackberries, blackcurrents, forest moss, dried herbs. Spicy. Still so much tannin. Would pair well with gamier meat — 7 years ago
Predominantly slate nose, hint of rubber, lime, green apple. Meyer lemon and lemon rind on the palate. Great acidity. — 7 years ago
Tart redcurrant, tart strawberry, gravelly smoke, a bit of salinity, like a salty slate rock piece. Opened up beautifully in about an hour. Perfect pair with some ribeye — 6 years ago

Black cherry, roses, fresh savory herbs, warm earth. Bracing but welcome acidity, still young tannins. Light on its feet but still made a perfect pairing with steak salad. — 7 years ago

Lemon bar (lemon peel and shortcrust pastry), marzipan, hay, agave nectar, buttered toast, toasted hazelnut on the nose. Like biting into a piece of brioche with meyer lemon curd on the palate. Tasty, zingy, still feels young and vivacious. — 2 years ago
