Abreu. Madrone Ranch. 2001
Cabernet. Wow. Took a little to open. Full red/black fruit nose. Full rich palate. Black fruit with cherries, violets, even some chocolate. Long finish. Big wine. Very complete. It's got everything. — 9 years ago
Red/purple color. Wonderful red fruit nose with cassis. Opens to elegant fruit with cherries, cedar box, soft tannins. Long finish. Balanced, complete. Enjoyable. — 9 years ago
Deep red color. Reticent cab nose. Some red fruit. Cedar box. Still distinctly tannic. Probably benefits from more time in the cellar. — 9 years ago
Dense purple color, black fruit liqueur nose. Cedar, earth, plum and a hint of vanilla on the palate. Smooth, rich balanced. Had it with pasta at dinner. Wonderful. — 9 years ago
Black fruit nose, youthful (obviously) well rounded with black fruit, tobacco, leather. Good Zin. Swigable. — 9 years ago
