A sip before dinner left us thinking of strawberry jam. Some fusel aromas on the nose along with sweet fruits and violets. This was a very berry forward cab which leaned into the sweeter side. A whisper of tannins brought up the finish but was very soft and somewhat floral. A little sweet but for $7.99, can’t complain. Made rissoles and cheese potatoes to embrace Australian cuisine. Had the 2023 in March of 2025. Was a WSJ wine. Lots of green apple with a hint of minerality. A little bready. Not a great wine but not a terrible one either. — 17 days ago

Had the 2016 in March of 2025. Not totally sure what to make of this one. Decanted it for sure. Very raisiny. Brownish red color with an interesting aroma. Some vanilla and a bit of mustiness. Apparently I prefer younger wines. — 4 days ago
