Imagine aged plums and white cherries blowing a hole through the back of your skull like a 12 gauge. That only partially captures the experience of this amarone on the nose. Medium minus acidity and gentle tannins make this quaffable, yet still deserving of a considered reflection. High quality producer, corked. — 8 years ago
Attempting to accurately capture the depth of this cali cab is like putting socks of a rooster- you get scratched and your cock gets angry. Don’t let the fight dissuade you though because the cigar box nose lifts you towards a state of transubstantiation as medium minus acidity beckons you towards a bed of tannins. — a year ago
Just absolute dipspit. Imagine two grown men weeping over the untimely death of their favorite poinsettia. Bottle that. Age it. Then serve lukewarm. Even that would be a soft 7 compared to this amarone. Skeptical producer. — 8 years ago
Broken nose with hints of apple bottom jeans and stale tobacco. Nutty on the tongue, in all the ways you'd want it to be. Glycerine finish leaves you questioning whether or not you should have moved in with Bryan or not. Probably not. Producer keeps on texting me. Interesting cork. — 9 years ago
12 years was just enough to let this flighty little gem find its footing. Soft tannins beckon further inquiry. Medium acidity, loam and petrichor come through with a ruby red fruit finish. — a year ago
Wow. Whispering berries and wedding bells. Chef recommends chasing it with an egg. The tannins came late to the party but they didn’t forget to bring the punch. Medium plus acidity not quite balanced by alcohol. If I had to guess, the producer probably didn’t realize what they had here and let it go without putting up a fight. Sloppy cork. — 3 years ago

Did I open this too soon? Probably. Did it need another couple of turns round the sun? Clearly. Do I care what you think about me? Desperately. Bright tannins highlight deep plum and red stone fruits but it’s hard to feel good about that anymore. — a year ago
