I had this wine at a dinner party, another guest brought it. The rep at Costco got a hold of her and hard core sold it. Be careful if you see these reps, they will make you believe Sparrow Hawk wines are the most incredible wines in the world. Their sales techniques are fabulous, but the wines are anything but. No one at the party much cared for this wine.
Warning if planning to bring this wine to a group, it mildly disappoints. It is not awful, but with all the other exceptional options at Costco, I suggest avoidance. — 9 years ago
THE wine to express what a beautiful California "Butter-Chardonnay" is. There is no other wine like it and there is no such thing as a "baby Rombauer". The 2013 is true to their gold standard wine. — 9 years ago
This wine is delightful, what a great alternative option for a white. Immensely drinkable, light, and silky smooth. I wish this was more easily gettable. — 9 years ago
I almost hesitate to write this as supplies are limited, but if you are a fan of the full blown butter-bomb, this wine has that profile. But here is the best part, it is on sale at Costco and it is an outstanding deal. This drinks like a $30+ bottle at 1/3 the cost. Love it for this price-point. — 9 years ago
This wine is awful, it is unbalanced and not at all chardonnay-like.
Purchased from WTSO, who will always give a refund, but I will suggest to them they not offer again. — 9 years ago
A wonderful wine to celebrate Bastille Day. — 9 years ago
Purchased from WTSO, good thing for their discount. This wine is a bit flabby and is on the side of sweet (not in a fruit forward way). It is drinkable if served extra cold, but I didn't like it enough to keep the MOQ I had to buy to get the free shipping. I gave it away to my friends who like white zinfandel. It was reasonably acceptable to them. — 9 years ago
The Sparrow Hawk reps are doing a magnificent job of full-court pressing this wine at Costco. But don't buy in......the sales job they are doing is infinitely better than this wine! They are like time share sales people and won't let you go. If you see them, don't make eye contact and run for another aisle.
The wine itself is nothing special and is about the same price as La Crema, which is a much better Chardonnay. — 9 years ago
Light, crisp, and silky on the finish. Great all by itself, needs nothing to be paired with to fully enjoy. — 9 years ago

Popped this for a special occasion and was told by my favorite aunt that it was the best wine she ever had. Thank you Sea Smoke! I waited on your list for years, but it was worth it and so is your price tag. I got one of the nicest compliments ever on a bottle of wine. — 9 years ago
