Top Rosè that would show at best in years, but it leaps out of the glass now! Intense aromatics, stone fruit with a hint of pepper and some leafiness, but on the palate is med+ body and finishes zippy. I’d love a Tondonia next to it — 5 years ago
Really good wine! Austere but ripe, fresh and precise. Citrus and steely on the nose, riper but zippy on the palate, immense value for money 😊 — 5 years ago
Brilliant unfortified wine from Jerez! It speaks of a place and their way of maturing wines, with a big yeasty and lively aspect. Clean, fresh and zesty it’s an incredibly versatile wine with food! — 5 years ago
Great entry level from Arianna. Frappago and Nero d’Avola, still youthful, but incredibly perfumed and elegant. Lots of ripe fruit, with in fact great tannic structure (after decanting) but still really fresh and only 12.5% abv. Floral, raspberry and liquorice — 4 years ago
Serious Prosecco with 7g sugar but nice balance and fairly broad spectrum of fruit aromas: pear, grass, white blossom and a little pastry (min 45 days Charmat) really nice with a vegetarian risotto 😋 — 5 years ago
Spice, black fruit, ripe and full, but with great freshness. Tannins show structure but are balance by fruit and alcohol. Big wine, exceptional with food (game, roasts?). Or dark chocolate? Great dense finish with fruit and savoury development — 5 years ago
Garnacha and Malvasia de Sitges, macerated for 1/2 weeks and 6 months on the lees. I like it, ripe but aromatic with stone fruit and floral notes. Some good extraction too, with a good tannic grip, completed by some yeast and citrus too — 4 years ago
Nice Vermentino made interesting with some skin contact that gives flesh and some structure to a fresh wine. You can push your pairing with something meatier — 5 years ago
Nice blend of Portuguese varieties with a little ageing. It is really savoury on the palate, although fruit is still very present. Not too big on tannins and alcohol, refined and with some elegance. Smoky finish — 5 years ago
Enrico Marconcini
Nerello Mescalese, used to be Guardiola labelled. Elegant and fine, but so much structure underneath, meaning it can age sublimely. Red fruit, spice, savoury and smoky. A wine with a sense of place 🌋 — 4 years ago
