Dense dark ruby, nose of leather, spice, brambly berry. Depth and richness on the tongue, notes of spice, black cherry, bramble, cola. Lingering, prickly finish with effervesence and dark fruit.
Perhaps more balanced and mature than montgs ago, should continue to develop. — 5 months ago

Orange wine from the High Plauns of Texas. 2021 vintage.
Nose of, ironically enough, orange peel. Light clear orange color.
Flavors of tangerine, melon, rose petal, hint of wild strawberry. A bit too much acidity but good body carries it. Finishes clear with lingering light tannins, as you’d expect.
Drank it with grilled pokenta with strwed heirloom tomatoes and chicken sausage, along with a garden salad. — 5 months ago

Medium straw color; vanilla, spice, and lychee on the nose; good acidity, with lychee, passionfruit, peach, and pear notes, good body, medium finish. Decent balance of fruit and acid. Not quite boring but it, um, forgot to soar — 4 months ago
I keep coming back to this one. Had it with a spicy chicken and broccoli stir-fry while listening to a live recording of Radu Lupu playing a Bach prelude & fugue (BWV 867). Each made the others more enjoyable. — 9 months ago
