A real surprise packet. Organic wine with great depth and complexity. Red fruits complexed by spicy pepper characters. This was the 2011 vintage and while still present, the "grapefruit" acidity was melding beautifully with age. I only wish I had more to try in the years to come. #everydaygems #NZwine #Organic #marlborough #pinotnoir — 10 years ago
Still quite vibrant for a 14 year old wine. Rich stewed fruit, licorice and blackberry. Oak is extremely subtle. Complexing the wine is the Mudgee X-factor. Kind if barnyardy, funky... Some lovely aged roundness too. For all its good point, I feel that it lacks finesse and complexity. Good, but falls short of greatness. — 10 years ago
2011 - Rich and ripe with great intensity of flavour. Will buy again. — 10 years ago
Wow - an amazingly complex wine. Great quality Barossa Shiraz finished in Scotch Whisky barrels. The whisky barrels certainly change the flavours in the wine. Well worth the money at $25. Can't wait to try the Cab Sav. — 10 years ago
2012 vintage- outstandingly complex wine. Rich peach and vanilla wrapped subtly in French Oak. Rich and powerful. Excellent value for money — 10 years ago
Really interesting wine - a throw back to Aussie Chardonnay from the 1980s, big flavours huge amount of Malo. Big sweet mouthful. The oak treatment is good, not over the top. This wine won't be to everyone's liking but worth a go for a retro hit ! — 10 years ago

Quite simple and one dimensional. Upfront blackberry characters with a hint of white pepper. Lacks persistence, finishing quite short. — 10 years ago
